With each compartment holding one gallon, this two compartment
feeder sits on top of the hive boxes, just under the inner cover. Bees access the feeding area through an open slot that runs cross-ways in the middle. After syrup is poured into compartments, slow-to-sink pine slatted floats (included) can be placed on top of the syrup, preventing drowning. The bottom is recessed 1/8″ to minimize rocking on burr comb left on the top bars of the box below it. When we assemble, seams will be caulked to ensure that it is leak-proof. All floats are included.
This item is assembled and unpainted. It fits a 10-frame hive.
