Beeline's Expansion

A Story of Success

Beeline has been serving beekeepers for over twenty years. Learn more about how Beeline officially began and how it grew to be a prominent bee supplier and manufacturer.

Company Establishment

2003
Beeline Apiaries & Woodenware was established in 2003 in Greencastle, Pennsylvania. It began as a small business for Jonathan Showalter and his family in the garage and basement of his house.

Beeline Moves to a New Location

2007
In 2007, the Showalter family moved their growing business to the mountains of Bedford, Pennsylvania. After completely renovating an old dairy farm to fit the business’ needs, they settled into five years of expansion.

Second Branch Opened

2012
The beginning of 2012 brought the establishment of Beeline’s second Branch near Rochester, Washington! Harold Weaver and his family endeavored to provide the same products, quality and service to the western states.

Beeline Moves to Michigan

2012
Toward the end of 2012, the rented, hilly farm in Pennsylvania was becoming too crowded for the Showalter’s business. After the family considered a major move, they relocated the eastern Beeline Branch to southwestern Michigan between Mendon and Three Rivers. They found themselves among many more small and large beekeepers and have been continuing their service for them and beyond.

Opened 3rd Branch

2013
2013 also brought the establishment of Beeline’s third Branch near Pueblo, Colorado! Though operating on a smaller scale near the Colorado Rockies, Dwight Eby and his family worked hard to provide the same products, quality and service to the beekeepers in the central states. For the next 10 years, the three Beeline Branches continued to grow.

Beeline's 20th Anniversary

2023
2023 marked the 20th anniversary for Beeline, and we acknowledge that we wouldn’t have gotten there without the Lord’s help!

Colorado Manufacturing Facility Closes

2023
2023 also brought the closing of the manufacturing facility at Pueblo, CO, due to labor restrictions for Dwight and his family. They continue to be a distributorship for Beeline’s products.

Customer Service

Willy Martin

CUSTOMER SERVICE
You never know what lies ahead. That’s what Willy can say. Working in the livestock industry for years, beekeeping never crossed his mind as an interest or an occupation. But when his friends at Beeline gave him the opportunity to join their office team in March of 2022, he found both a new occupation and a new hobby. He quickly spent time educating himself about bees and beekeeping, both by personal experience with his own bees and from other’s knowledge. He loves to satisfy customers every day, and to talk about bees and learn from other beekeepers. Give him a call; he’s happy to help!

Owner & Manager of Beeline of Washington

Harold Weaver

OWNER & MANAGER (WASHINGTON)
In the woodlands of western Washington, Harold excels in paying attention to all the details that bring success to his business. He especially enjoys satisfying his customers with quality products and excellent customer service. After building houses with his father, and then teaching school, painting houses and building chairs over the years, his interest in beehive manufacturing started in 2012 along with a friend. As he pursued that, he became fascinated with bees and now enjoys sharing beekeeping tips with customers who need it. He is thankful for his children’s help, especially his son Virgil who helps him with production, assembly and customer care, and his daughters who lend a hand in production and assembly. As a small family business, the Weavers seek to serve their beekeeping community and beyond to the best of their ability, for the Lord!

Frame Assembly Specialist

Genuine Showalter

FRAME ASSEMBLY SPECIALIST
Like an engine behind the train cars, Genuine brings up the rear in the Showalter family with energy and spark. Still climbing the ladder of responsibility on the production floor, he handles almost every assembled frame that goes out our door. He is eager to do anything to help the business grow and succeed. And sometimes he even has a great idea to contribute to the daily discussions!
Benevolent

Shipping Manager

Benevolent Showalter

SHIPPING MANAGER
With a careful eye for detail and a passion for efficiency, Ben has taken our shipping processes to another level. From small packages to truckload orders, he thrives on making sure each unique order is packed carefully and safely before entrusting it to the shipping carriers. With years of working in the production operations behind him, he knows the products in and out and it's hard to beat the satisfaction of watching another truck pull away with a load of hard work, knowing the customer at the other end will be happy! When Ben is not shipping, he's operating his CNC router or 3D plastic printer, advancing his electrical and designing skills, or inventing improvements to products and processes.
Loyal

Plant Technician

Loyal Showalter

PLANT TECHNICIAN
Before he learned to read, Loyal learned about bee stings and sawdust. Both take endurance, and he joined his family wholeheartedly in seeing projects to their end, no matter how dusty, how technical, or how monotonous it may be. Now between managing box production and troubleshooting or installing electrical machine controls, Loyal is the dependable technician on the floor. And of course, he especially enjoys firing up a control panel and watching a new automated machine operate smoothly after the bugs have been worked out.

Sterling

Manager / Commercial Sales

Sterling Showalter

MANAGER / COMMERCIAL SALES
As a 3-year-old, Sterling didn’t like to play because he knew he would only need to put away his toys again. He wanted to accomplish something practical! That same drive for efficiency and success has steered his way to careful and aggressive business management today. As his father’s right-hand helper in the bee yard and shop since childhood, he learned the trade inside and out. And now, from cost analysis to machine engineering, Sterling strives to keep the gears oiled and finds satisfaction knowing a quality product has reached the hands of a happy customer.
Gabriella

Office Administrator

Gabriella Showalter

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Growing up a beekeeper’s daughter, helping throughout the shop over the years and joining the office team at a young age has added breadth to Gabriella’s expertise today. She enjoys bringing order and beauty into her complex responsibilities, including accounting solutions, tax regulations, company paperwork, customer service, cost analytics, marketing strategies, graphic design or relationships with all people she comes in contact with. She still plays with some hives, but her favorite thing to do is to watch God create order and beauty from lives that allow Him to.

President & Engineer

Jonathan Showalter

PRESIDENT & ENGINEER
As a young boy, when Jonathan helped his uncle in the bee yard and nailed frames together by hand, he never dreamed he would own a full-scale beehive manufacturing company today! After Jonathan taught school for 14 years, he decided he needed to spend more time with his own children than with other’s children. He bought more bees and put his inventive mind to work building automated machines to produce woodenware. His perseverance to follow through with most of anything he envisioned, including passing his strong faith in God on to his children, has become a pillar in the business and in his family. Now as his sons begin to take over the management, he enjoys the fruits from his labors, and continues to fabricate machines, manage our wood pellet production, keep bees, and seek solutions to the daily problems that arise.
