This Economy Nuc Kit, with a 5-frame deep box, lid and bottom board, can serve multiple purposes! From swarm catching, to nuc raising, to regular hive keeping, its a handy set of equipment to have!

Our 5-frame medium nuc boxes are built to withstand the rough handling of the beekeeping industry! Designed and milled carefully in the USA, with 100% USA Eastern White Pine, we strive to keep our wood grading and milling quality controlled extensively.

Our 5-frame medium nuc boxes are the standard 6 5/8″ in depth and 9 5/8″ wide. They feature a full top joint which greatly reduces breakage, and a 5/8″ routered frame rest. Handholds with deep, profiled uppercuts are easy to grip and allow water to run off the bottom.

Commercial grade is a popular grade for hobbyists, sideliners and anyone who is especially concerned about the wood quality. There will be no holes or potential holes, large splits or milling defects. We attempt to keep any solid, tight knots at least 1 ½” from nailing areas. Knots are allowed within the panel as long as they are structurally sound. Knots should never be in handholds. Variation in panel width may occur due to post-milling shrinkage.

This item is assembled and will need painted or wax dipped before using. Can also be purchased unassembled, or painted or wax dipped.
