Ok, you have to deal with the cappings. You can’t get the honey out unless you get through all those little lids. This is the cheapest, fastest method we know (albeit a bit messy). Don’t plan for cappings to melt down, but very economical for the hobbyist with a small job. Also useful by the bigger beekeeper to remove cappings in hard-to-get-to places. Oh, and it makes a good tool for removing drone brood to check for mites too- if you can stomach the process.
