The lid for the commercial beekeeper. The main part of this lid is made with high quality exterior plywood. The end cleats fasten these together in a 1/4″ deep groove with 1 5/8″ for a skirt and 3/8″ above. Another piece fastens flat-wise to the top. This piece also has a 3/8″ thick lip to come out over the skirt pieces. This eliminates the crack that would allow water into the ends of the plywood panel.
