With this plastic propolis trap you can harvest quantities of clean propolis and sell a value-added product from you hive. Put on the top of your hive in the place of the inner cover, block the hive cover up so that light can get into the hive. The bees will fill the cracks in the trap in an effort to block the light and seal the hive.
To harvest, place propolised trap into a plastic bag and freeze. Once frozen twist the trap inside the bag to release the propolis. Fall is the time of greatest propolis collection.
